As an important country in Southeast Asia and a major member state of ASEAN, Malaysia is seen as a symbol of " True Asia". In 1974, Malaysia led as the first country among ASEAN countries in establishing diplomatic relations with the People's Republic of China .The bilateral ties between China and Malaysia in recent years have got a rapid, progressive, and profound development. In 2013, President Xi Jinping paid a state visit to Malaysia and both leaders decided to establish Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries. In 2015, Premier Li Keqiang's official visit to Malaysia lifted the bilateral pragmatic cooperation to a new height.
China and Malaysia will enhance mutual trust by reciprocal high visits; inject new power into the bilateral trade and investment through "One Belt, One Road" initiative and industrial capacity cooperation; strengthen the people-to-people and cultural communications and promote the good relations between the two peoples; and upgrade security cooperation as well as cooperation on both regional and international levels to jointly safeguard peace and stability in the world .
Only sincere friendship stands the test of time. The China-Malaysia relations has experienced the Golden Four Decades, and is moving into the second Four Decades which are not only comprehensive and mature but also full of trust and mutual benefit. The Chinese embassy in Malaysia has always devoted itself to developing bilateral relations and strengthening traditional friendship between the two countries. The ocean never turns away stream, so it becomes wide and deep;the mountain never turns away stones, so it becomes towering and strong.
