Ambassador Bai Tian meets with Mr. Robert Kuok Hock Nien

On May 23, H. E. Bai Tian, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China met with Mr. Robert Kuok Hock Nien. Amb. Bai Tian spoke highly of the contribution Mr. Kuok have made to the development of Malaysia as well as the progress of China-Malaysia relations. He expects that Mr. Kuok would continue to contribute to the future development of China-Malaysia cooperation.

Both of them agreed that China-Malaysia friendly cooperation is in the fundamental interests of the two countries and two peoples. They believe that, as an important country along the 21st century maritime silk road under the  "Belt & Road" Initiative, Malaysia could further benefit from mutually-beneficial and win-win cooperation with China.  They recall the sound development of bilateral relations during Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad's last service as Prime Minister, and are both confident that during the term of the new government, China- Malaysia relations will achieve greater progress.
